Letter from Robert Huke, Dartmouth College, to Robert Oppenheimer, Princeton University, 10 March 1959
March 10, 1959
Dear Dr. Oppenheimer:
Thank you very much for your telephone call of yesterday, March 9.
Following our conversation I made a thorough check of the College
calendar and of activities within the various departments. I find
April 14 is an excellent date for your lecture at our campus.
I have made preliminary arrangements for additional publicity
and have assumed that your title would remain the same, "Freedom and
Necessity in the Sciences."
If I understood correctly you would plan to fly and to arrive in
Lebanon at 6:40 on Monday, April 13 and would leave on the 10:05
a.m. flight on Wednesday, April 15.
Yours truly,
Robert E. Huke
Chairman
Dartmouth College Lecture Series.
