Letter from Robert Oppenheimer, Princeton University, to Robert Huke, Dartmouth College, 21 April 1959

Letter from Robert Oppenheimer, Princeton University, to Robert Huke, Dartmouth College, thanking him for his hospitality.

21 April 1959

Dear Dr. Rieser:

Thank you for your generous letter, for which I am
very grateful. I was not overworked, and not tired,
perhaps because of your warm welcome; and had a fast
trip home.

Derek Price is unlikely to accept the position at
Yale. He has a number of other irons in the fire,
and I do not know whether a negotiation with Dartmouth
would help or complicate his future, but since I
promised to tell you what was up, this is it.

I too hope that we shall see each other before
long.

With warm good wishes,
Robert Oppenheimer
